PICKS UP WHERE QUICKBOOKS® LEAVES OFF
Remodeling Industry's 1st On-Demand Product
CompuTool announces greater integration with
QuickBooks® accounting with the launch of CompuTool/enhanced,
its new web based platform. The product will be commercially
available by March of this year. "We found QuickBooks
is almost ubiquitous among remodeling firms," said Keith
Tobias, Chief Technology Officer of CompuTool. "That's
why when we began development of our new web based product
we looked for ways to enhance the QuickBooks experience, not
replace it".
CompuTool already provides the ability to export files to
QuickBooks® and automatically sends the data on the customer
including account information, job materials lists and billing
data, which saves the contractor time and more importantly
reduces the potential for costly errors.However, for many
remodelers having a great accounting package is not enough.
This is where CompuTool picks up-with job scheduling, estimating,
customer relationship management, sales force automation,
call center module and much more.
By industry estimates there are over 1,000,000 contractors
in the U.S. and many of them use and are happy with QuickBooks®
for basic accounting functions. "These clients don't
want to abandon the accounting program that they and their
back-office staff feel comfortable with but need a fully integrated
suite of applications" says Douglas Kern, C.O.O. of CompuTool.
Adds Tobias "Our new hosted product uses .NET technologies,
provides 24x7x365 support and can be integrated with handhelds
and much more. We have been told by customers that QuickBooks®
is like looking in the car's rear view mirror and when integrated
with CompuTool it's like a view of the entire dashboard and
road ahead".
